A recent Mustel Group poll suggests that residents are broadly enthusiastic about the upcoming World Cup event in Vancouver. There is some concern about traffic and transit pressures, public safety, and taxpayer costs, but overall attitudes are positive, with more than one-half supporting the event, compared to fewer than one-in-five who oppose it.
About the survey:
- Online survey of 500 Metro Vancouver residents, 18 years plus. Mustel Group’s Giving Opinions panel used (100% randomly recruited) supplemented by Dynata to ensure the sample is representative of the population.
- Minor weighting was applied to match the sample to Statistics Canada census data on the basis of age, gender and region.
- Margin of error is +/-4.1% at 95% level of confidence. Please note that margin of error only applies to random samples.
